Architectural Models

Architectural scale models are a central artistic medium, used for their communicative, symbolic and emotional power. They are not preparatory maquettes, but autonomous works and the DNA of realised large-scale 1:1 immersive installations, condensing their spatial, material and emotional qualities into a smaller 1:20 scale. At this scale, the works become more universal, allowing a larger sense of the space and its emotional landscape to emerge, while the 1:1 installations offer a more focused, zoomed-in experience.
Each model embodies the main principles of the practice: one ingredient (material) and one sustained, repetitive action, through which countless small gestures accumulate into architectural forms. Memory, displacement, loss and the emotional architecture of home become physically tangible.
