This 20-kilo hand-bound book collects archival drawings of Kyiv buildings erased over the past 20 years. Using dry debossing, it captures ghostly traces of lost architecture—fading yet persistent reminders of cultural memory and historical absence.

20-kilo artistic investigation into architectural absence. This hand-bound volume collects archival drawings of buildings that no longer exist—structures intentionally erased from Kyiv’s historical landscape over the past 20 years of Ukrainian independence.

What remains are drawings of “nothing”: ghost traces of cultural heritage lost to neglect, destruction, or political decisions. It is a reflection on historical amnesia—a silent force that suppresses memory, erodes identity, and undermines the foundation of national belonging.

The book is made using dry debossing—no ink, just pressure. The images are barely visible, as if fading from memory, but still present. Even when we turn a blind eye, their imprint remains.
